Executive Summaryの書き方

BONDのグループワークで英語のレポートを分担する際にちょっと困るのがExecutive Summaryだ。何せ，一通り出来上がってからでないと書きづらいので，全員の負荷を均等にしようとすればするほど悩みの種なのだ。誰が書く？となってもなかなか手が挙がらないところを，「私が書きましょう。」って言ってくれる御仁がいると非常に気持ちがよいもの。もちろん，個人レポートでもESは書かねばならない。

 

私はBCSをまだ取っていないので（これから），ESの書き方を習ったわけではないが，見よう見まねでスタイルが出来上がってしまっている。私が書いたESで悪い評価をもらったことはまだ無いので，一応参考まで。

 

Executive Summary の　雛形（例）

・まず疑問文から始める。論文のテーマやお題からもってくることが多い。

・その問題を明らかにするために，このレポートでは何々を分析した。

・分析の手法は，～で，（１）～～と（２）～～と（３）～～の観点で～を調べた。

・まず，（１）では，（５Ｗ１Ｈをはっきりさせながら），～～が分かった。

・次に（２）では，～～が分かった。

・・・・

・これらの結果から，～～は～～だと結論付けられた。

・最後に，かっこよく付け足す。何を付け足すかは内容による。

教科書に載っている理論と，～～～の点で一致しているが，～～の点では一致していない。その理由は，～～～からかもしれない。

とか，課題と今後の方向性みたいなものを書くときもある。

 

このアウトフレームを使うと，書き出すと止まらず書けてしまう。

 

Everyone knows that Dr. Ohmae is one of the famous gurus alive in the world. On the other hand, some people doubt his talent as an entrepreneur. Is Dr. Ohmae really entrepreneurial?

The purpose of this report is to answer this question through an analysis with Timmons' model.

How he utilizes team, resource and opportunity in lauching BBT (Business Breakthrough, Inc.) is examined.  

First, many skilled persons are members of the board of BBT. Dr. Takahashi is a famous business consultant and also president of another company. ~~~~

As mentioned above, Dr. Ohmae utilizes team, resource and opportunity and their balance seems to be perfect. It is concluded that he is a role model of an good entrepreneur and shows us a good example by his behavior itself.

Only one anxiety must be his age. While he can work aggressively, BBT should be lifted to a mature stage and independent of his personal brand power.
